I read an article years ago, by Dean Grennell (sp?). He described the TL bullets and how easy they were to cast and use, and I've never looked back. I have cast and fired thousands of 9mm, 45acp, 38 sp Tumble Lube bullets since. Most of them were wheel weights, tumbled lubed in a plastic can with Lee Alox, the brown sticky stuff.
One time, I got the bright idea to size the 9mm, lubing first, then after as well. I wasn't shooting in the Olympics at the time

p), so I can't say that it made a difference in accuracy. The way Dean explained the whole matter, I was satisfied that Tumble Lube bullets were the answer for me. I don't recall any leading issues of any overwhelming significance, nor any noticeable difference in accuracy from other types of cast bullets I was using at that time.
Back then, I fired off very close to 20,000 small and large pistol primers in one year, so I do have a bit of an idea of what I am talking about. Although this will bring heat from the Lee pooh-poohers, I would suggest that, for the average dude shooter, Lee Tumble Lube bullets will work just fine in most cases.
Fire away!
