Over all weight will probably differ quite a bit, because your brass, and bullets will not be perfectly matched.

Weigh the components individually and you will see what I mean. Even if you get the powder perfect the brass will have quite a difference, and depending on the quality of the bullets there can be a pretty big difference.

That is what I figured.

Drop a charge that is as close as possible and trickle up the rest based on the scale. It is still a lot faster than the dippers.

For rifle loads,+40gr.,I can consistantly get with in five IMR sticks.With a rifle load,that is bang on.Of course I check and adjust with a scale and a trickler. I use the same steady flip,pause,up. I ran a charge of graphite through the measure when I got it.

Oh heavens no. Only rifle. For the sake of my fragile sanity I abandoned reloading for pistol long ago.
