I started loading on a lee single stage years ago...approx 4 years ago I went to lee turret to help turn out 9mm quicker than the single stage.

I would like to go to a progressive press. I would love to get a dillion, but a recent divorce keeps me from splurging.

What Lee progressive do you recommend and why?
Right now, 9mm is my only pistol caliber that I reload, but I also load rifle rounds. So the ability to change over to different calibers would be a plus.

Thanks in advance.

I've been loading 9mm on a Lee Load Master for over 10 years. It's a little more finicky than the much more expensive Dillon offerings. Once dialled in I've managed 100 rounds in eight minutes from dry. The Pro 1000 will also work, but it only has three stations, so you have to either seat and crimp at the same time, or crimp afterwards as a separate step.

Auggie D.

I got a Lee Auto Breech Lock Pro and I recommend it. It takes some set up but it reliably makes great ammo. I hand bomb primers and bullets which is slower. I have the case feeder and auto drum powder measure. They work really well after setup ans adjustment.

I’d get a Dillon if I reloaded more but the Lee stuff is great for the money.

The Dillon Square Deal is the sweet press for 9mm, and a lot less expensive than their big presses that do rifle rounds too.

For doing rifle properly I'd lean much more toward a single-stage press.

There's a chance that wanting just one press to do it all (and be inexpensive!) may be asking too much.

Consider a low powder sensor alarm and low primer alarm for whatever progressive setup you invest in. This eliminates the very real possibility that your powder dispenser or primers run out without you realizing it in time. That's some real piece of mind as you run your progressive as error free as possible
