I am curious if anyone who has used both the regular Auto-Disk and the Pro Auto-Disk with the fancy chain can compare them? Is there much difference?

I have an Auto Disk with the pro update & a newer Pro Auto Disk.

There is very little difference between the two units, However the update kit is a huge improvement to the original powder measure.

I didn't bother with the chain. It appeared to be a very flimsy component. I use the original spring return, it has been completely reliable.

I've upgraded to the pro as well, although I have left the spring return the same. I find it better visually for watching your powder level, and you give it a twist to shut off the flow of powder.

It takes only a few powder charge throws to empty the bottom, and you can remove it without a mess. Try that without a shut off.

I don't use the chain (which is designed for progressive presses, no? I still don't get how that thing works, heh), but like Rod and sask, I found that the few added touches of the Pro Auto-Disk make a WORLD of difference.

I loaded ONE batch of magnum rounds with H110 back when I only had the regular Auto-Disk Powder Measure, it was a total pain in the ass. Powder was leaking everywhere, it was a nightmare. That's what motivated me to upgrade to the Pro, haven't had a leak since.
