Bought the Lee Anniversary reloading kit to get started reloading. Was looking at the RCBS one but figured I would take the lower priced kit as there was more of an abundance of Lee parts and accessories......mistake. The Lee press is nice but the rest of kit is crap, the scale is a joke, the primer kit is over complicated and the powder dispenser is something out of a dollar store.

Kinda disappointed

I don't know what you where expecting at that price....The press is good, the scale was good enough to get in the .2 moa range for me,the primer tool is one of the best and the dispenser is way better/tighter than the RCBS.

my 2 cents.

I like my lee kit also. the scale is bang on for me, at least it is after i figured out there was a locking button on the grains slide lol. i dont use my powder dispenser though as i weigh every charge. and i find the safety prime to work flawlessly as long as you keep it full of primers. i've loaded thousands of very accurate rounds with it.

I think the press is great but why package the crap with it.... but I guess the old adage rings true, you get what you pay for!

Been using LEE equipment for years....it fits the bill for me ! :agree:

Not to hijack the thread, but I'm also using the Lee Safety scale - any recommendations for better ones at a reasonable price?

(I'm also thinking trickler, but that would only be as accurate as the scale it's equipped with as well)

there's the kicker- define reasonable- last time i looked, the ohaus, rcbs, and others were almost double the price of the lee- i use an old bonanza that i got stateside for 20 bucks, - for those of you don't know, bonanza=pacific= hornady

I also have been pleased with the Lee Kit. I already own a bunch of RCBS and other brands, but found the Lee to be a nice supplement.

BTW I have three tricklers, and find I still use a spoon or dipper to add powder. The tricklers either collect dust or sit in the package still.

I have that kit and find it good. Accurate scale and measure. I really like the collett dies and their factory crimper. I just half fill a casing with powder, slowly tilt and rotate it for trickling powder as I get a charge close to what I want. That measure is very repeatable even with course powder like H4831. I also got used to and like the primer setup on it. Just have adequate primers in the tray. I have the press and powder measure mounted on a piece of 2 X 8 and just clamp it to a table and I can full length on it. What's not to like?
