Has anyone ever taken them up on the replacement policy ?

We had some heavy flooding here a couple yrs ago and most of our basement was under 4 feet of water including most of my reloading gear. Since I wasn't shooting at the time and am unable to get down to the basement I had to have others do the cleanup for me .Unfortunately someone else would never look after stuff like you would do yourself ,since I had my .45 ACP up on my loading bench I never gave much thought to the other stuff . Untill this summer that is . When I went to reload my .45 LC I found a solid lump that used to be my dies and a Lee turret all corroded into one piece . The same is true of my .357, 9mm. Each set basically welded to the turrets. I contacted LEE and they said that if I sent my dies to them they would replace them for 1/2 price of new ones in US funds of course.
Would this be a good deal or am I better off replacing them from the Equiptment Exchange .

A bit wordy but thanks,

Marcel

New stuff at half the price - sounds good from here. Lee has very reasonable shipping prices.

You won't typically see stuff in decent condition for 50% of list - more like maybe 70%. If it's half of list, usually there's a good reason like scrapes, lot of wear, and surface rust.

Take 'em up on it. Man, they don't have to replace stuff that your (admittedly inadvertent) neglect damaged! Sounds like good customer service to me!
