Just upgraded from single stage to a Lee classic turret. Makes life a lot easier but still in control. Any other nutz using one, how do you like it? Load 44 mag and starting on 9mm for the Sub 2k, hungry little guy.

I love mine, extra turrets are a must, mount your dies in their own turret, set to your favorite load for each and load away. Thinking of drilling a hole for less mechanical advantage on the pivot for pistol calibers. I use a cast press for work that requires lots of torque though!

Thanks for the replies. WSS here didn't have an extra turret, have one on order from Calgary. For less advantage, just shorten the handle. I still like to be able to check powder drop till I really trust the measure. Was looking at progressive but don't need quite that capacity and they seem pretty busy from the vids I saw online.

I shoot recreational target pistol and love my turret press. I don't need a high volume / high price progressive, but wanted more convenience than a single stage - and thats what the turret press delivers. Have put a few thousand rounds thru it so far and expect to do lots more. If I had one complaint, I'd just wish it captured the old primers. Beyond that, adding a cushion on my surplus science classroom steel stool and a radio on my (small) workbench would be the cat's a$&.

Love mine, load 44 mag/sp and 45 ACP on mine.
Haven't had any problems after a couple thousand rounds reloaded.
It's a great press for the money.

They are the

of reloading equipment !
I herd it on this very web site so it must be true ;)
That being said I have 2 Lee turret presses & use them all the time :D

I have the cheaper Deluxe kit and load .45 Colt and .45ACP and if I disable the indexing 30-30,the turret won't rotate with the rifle cartridges. It is great switching from one round to the other,no adjustments to make as I have a powder measure on each turret.

I need more round cases to hold turrets loaded with dies. 223, 303, 308, 45acp so far. Worn out a couple of the plastic indexing squares but other than that No problem so far. Had a 1000 and traded to the classic turret so i could load rifle rounds

Just make sure you do a full stroke, no shortcuts. An extra turret plate is a must for every caliber. Lubricate sliding parts regularly and get an adjustable charge bar for you powder dispenser so you do not have to turn the disk for every adjustment. Enjoy!

My turret press also spewed primer's all over the floor, and since I don't prime on the press here's my fix.
I turned the shaft 90* to the left and drilled a new hole thru the bottom of it.
The tape's there to make sure no primer's get away.

Had to buy the powder measure upgrade kit for the adjustable bar, no stock by itself, no biggie. I've seen varied opinions on the Lee stuff, my breech lock served me well, how could others be any better? The primer works, pull, push the handle no problems. Can't see a Benz/ Lada difference. Really going to like this new one.

I've the classic turret as well. Good solid unit. I looked at the regular 4 hole too. Nothing at all wrong with it, but I liked the heavier unit just a bit more.
I reload 30-30 and 7.62x39 with a view to doing .303, et al in the future.

I made up my own kit while shopping at Cabela's near Saco, Maine. The press itself was on sale for $94 and I just couldn't help myself. Their regular price was about $114 which is 50-60 bucks cheaper than anywhere in Canada.
