I've got a buddy whose dad is a lefty and truly needs a 12 ga goose/duck/turkey semi-auto setup.

Frankly, I'm a Norinco HP9/ Rem M870 pump kinda guy and that's the extent of my 12 ga knowledge.

I need suggestions on which models, makes and of course retailers here on CGNutz for a left 12 ga. gas gun!

Thoughts from the experts?

Berreta 391 with left hand trigger group and cast off. still right port

Benelli M2/montefeltro left side port. True left hand semi.

My pick is the M2 field.

Prophet had good pricing earlier this year.

I'd say stick with a right ejecting gun, just get something with a tang safety like a Mossberg or Browning.
A left specific gun will cost you more, and be harder to sell later.
I have a mossberg 930, and have tried to shoot left handed, the shells fly to the right and forward, so it's not too much of an issue.

Give it a try before you fork over the extra bills.

It's a $100 bux. Not a big deal. I have noticed that the left handed guns go pretty fast on the EE. Lots of guys, once they have made the switch, never go back.

Being a left handed shooter myself I go with the Mossberg shotguns. The tang safety works great and I've never had any problems with the hulls hitting my face or the gas in a semi.

I agree with dannymat, buy a right hand semi with a reversible or a tang safety. At my local skeet gun I have shot other members semi auto brownings, berettas, benelli's, remington 1100/11-87, Ithacas and even though I shot with both eyes open I have never been bothered by the ejecting shell. I my opinion fit is the most critical thing to look for in a firearm.
