I'm thinking of buying a semi auto rifle in 308. I've decided on the Norinco, I've never shot one so I'm wondering if there are any issues with shooting it left handed. Also who has good prices? Thanks

i'm a SUPER LEFTIE( left eye, left handed) and have 4 of the things- what does that tell you?- no problems except for the PERCIEVED ones of you seeing the case eject across your line of sight( it happens so fast you don't really see it- you just THINK you do)

no problems, just be aware that the charging handle reciprocates and not to get your support hand in there.

I actually find is easier to use because my left hand stays on the grip while i do stuff with my support hand.

Warms my heart to see how many fellow south paws there are here!
I also like that my strong hand stays on the grip while I change mags.

My 2nd son is a lefty! He reports that the M14 must have (he loves it so much) been designed BY a lefty! :D

In particular, he just loves how the left hand on the grip allows the 'weak' hand (right) to operate the rifle. The safety is an ambi design and the mag release is perfect for the 'weak' hand (right) to operate! :) He has never had a concern with the op rod being on the right hand side, he likes it that way.

For many years when he was in the local Cadet Biathlon Team, he had to operate the Anschutz as (they are all right handed) a lefty, he was annoyed. Now he says, he is in heaven with the M14.... well not the cost of the ammo.
