Here is a question I have not seen asked yet.

I know it has been done for black rifles, but I have not seen it for SMG's.

What are the legal (restricted class) submachine guns are available in Canada?

By definition an SMG would have a short barrel as in shorter then 470mm/18.5" thereby restricted by barrel length.

way to super stars...we are all talking about the FRT re classification crap and then this post hits...

Well this one wins the dumbass post of the year award and its only March

No need to be a jerk. :(

I asked for the sole reason that I do not see much information about them around on the forums or at my range, and I wanted to learn about them. It is a little hard when one does not know much about a topic to learn anything without asking a question.

If you think somthing is wrong with the question I asked... just PM me. No need to be rude and bite my head off for no reason.

By definition, they'd have to be select-fire too, so what we've got are a bunch of expensive, self-loading carbines in pistol calibres. Although I can't begin to imagine how odd some of those guns would look with a non restricted-length barrel on them.

There are no restricted SMGs, just like there are no restricted assault rifles. An SMG is selective fire by definition. There are some restricted weapons that are visually identical to SMGs, but they are not SMGs.

I agree.
How can you think there would be a legal SUB-MACHINE GUN??

You might have just given new ammo to the antis and fu%k'd us all.....

And this thread is halfway down the first page.........Pistol Carbines

Boy oh boy.

Fine. So much controversey over a simple question. Thanks to those who replied.

To those that do not want me to call it a SMG, I only did so because of the title of this forum.

Black and Green Rifles - Assault rifles and SMGs for people with good taste.

Perhaps a small name change of the forum is in order so people like me do not post this kind of thing again.

I will check out the pistol caliber carbine thread in the meantime. Thanks guys.

Wow, so lets all hide in caves and not utter the word gun in case there's a lib nearby.

New ammo to the anti's? Do you not think this kind of information isn't easily available to them already? This forum is here for us to discuss firearms and firearms related subjects in a legal context. If that scares some of you, maybe you should close your accounts and burn your hard drives.

I'd hate to see what happens when your wife wants to get kinky in the bedroom and asks you about it. :runaway:
