I'm going to go out on a limb and say not legal, but I had to ask. And yes, I bloody well searched and found a big NADA, so if this has been discussed before, deal with it. :D

i'd have to look it up, but i'm sure it;s in there- something to the effect of"any device that attaches to and actuates the trigger by means of a crank, electric motor etc-" that goes back to the days of the first drafts of c-68 or before
 
While this doesn't apply to Canada ( yet :rolleyes:) didn't the BATFE prohibit a length of shoelace as a full auto conversion device.

Len Savage of Historic Arms received a letter from the BATFE that stated if a shoelace was used to induce a rifle to fire in full auto mode then the shoelace would thereafter be considered as an illegal machine gun. The schumer hit the fan when Aaron Zelman of the Jews For the Preservation of Firearms ownership published the letter.
