Legality of a Frankenstein stock?

Recently I picked up a 1954 Russian refurb, and against the opinions of other I was thinking about making it into a Bubba. I don't want just any run of the mill factory stock, I'm thinking about building something myself. Anyway, I was just wondering if there would be any legal issues with me building up some type of stock that would, for example, be able to wear AR-15 furniture (grip/buttstock)?

you can use any stock you like as lon as the overall length of your rifle is more than 26 inches if/when collapsed. show below is the stock that i made n(no AR bits)
