Yep, i do believe its classed as a variant of the Sig 550, which is prohibited by name.
However, you can buy a swiss arms classic green/black special CQB and its just restricted, of you go for the rifle length its even non-restricted.

the mag is different...this takes ar mags instead of that other proprietary mag...
Since the Upper is the registered firearm on these, the lower is just a component, and NEA does make a lower receiver that allows the use of AR mags and stocks.
Their was talk of The Shooting Edge bringing in sig556 lowers as well, but don't know if it went anywhere.
If that still does not meet your requirements you really don't have any other options for anything similar to this.
With a few notable exceptions, the AR mag is it's weakness - Swiss mags are rock solid (not quite AK solid- you can't do push ups on them, but close) If all you're looking for is a 10 shot non-restricted rifle, buy an XCR, or a magwell adapted VZ in either 223 or 7.62x39.
