Your thoughts so far from anyone who actually owns one.
I just picked up my first ,but not my first 704 action having owned 2 Ed Brown 704's in the past.
The Ed Browns were/are absolute Cadillac rifles and the Legendary's are close copies at a far lower price point.
You give up the McMillan stock, the Jewell trigger and the Shilen barrel that were Ed Brown.

I wont have a chance to give my 280 AI Capra built at the old shop a test run for a while so interested to hear real time knowledge of how they perform.
Also ,if anyone has a new shop Professional ll and thoughts on it?

I have a prof ll in 6.5 cm. I really like the action and the stock. The action is decently smooth, and cycles/ejects flawlessly. The accuracy is ok, but honestly I expected better. It shoots everything into about 1.5moa, and with a bunch of load development and redoing the bedding it is a 3/4moa rifle with the best loads. I get the occasional 1/2moa 3 shot group but on average its around 3/4. For the price I expect a bit better than 1.5moa out of the box, or at lesst under moa with minor load development
I really like the balance and feel of the rifle, and affter bedding and a bunch of load development its ready to hunt.

Excellent info and thanks for that accuracy report.
I had a tough time deciding between a 6.5 Creed or the 280 AI but seeing as I had bags of 280 Remington on hand I went with the older Capra model
Not much of a range report yet but it’s chambered right as I was able to fire form 20 cases using my left over 280 Remington loads. No indication of case separation or extraction problems using Winchester brass.

I had two LAW professional rifles. First one in 28 nosler was a POS accuracy was non-existent, Very nice looking rifle though. Sent it back and my money was refunded. My second one was a 257 wby fit and finish was great and it also shot great. I regret selling it. Apparently the had a lot of quality control issues. I read they went belly up and are under new ownership, which also took care of the quality control issues.
