LEH Moose in Region 5-3 (BC)...looking for info.

Greetings,

A good friend of mine (and rookie hunter) got the LEH moose draw in region 5-3 here in BC. Sept 10 - 30.
He's asked me to come along and give him a hand, teach him how to gut and skin (if we get that lucky) etc...I do not have a moose draw, but will hunt deer while I'm out there with him.
I know this region has some challenges with moose populations, first nations concerns, possible blockades, closed areas etc.
I've never hunted this area, so I'm looking for any helpful info on what's to be expected up there...not looking for anyone to tell me their "secret spot", just hoping for any info on the area that might be useful...camping spots, places to NOT go (lol), whatever advice you have is most appreciated.

5-3 is usaily ok. It's further west you find the Indians blocking the roads.

Let people know where your going. Dumb stuff happens out west.

The only advice I gots for region 5 for ya Greg is to put in for my region next year. Bottom right hand corner of 5-2 ;)
Haven't ventured much into 5-3. Such a big management unit it's hard to get out and see/hunt/fish it all.
I'll ask a few guys I know and pass on anything I hear by p.m.
 
check the status of off road vehicle use in the area you plan to hunt, lots of areas in 5 where it is no longer allowed
