Leica 1600 or Swaro Rangefinder ?

Has anyone field-tested both of these rangefinders side by side? Which one did you keep/purchase ? What was performance like in rain/snow/fog ?

I am looking at replacing my 1200 and can't make up my mind where to go from here. Testing them in-store only goes so far...

I can't speak for the Swaro, but I was able to range deer at a little over 1600 yards and some rocks/hill at over 1800 yards with my new Leica 1600 this fall.

My Leica is great until there's snow on the ground. I couldn't get it to work at 1000 this afternoon.. I haven't tested the swaro in snow but it performed about the same in early fall..

Sorry, to be clear, when you say it performed the same, do you mean that is what was pooched when the white stuff was on the ground ? What was performance like with either when the moisture was in the air (in the form of rain, snow, fog, etc) ?
