Anyone here have experience with this scope? Particularly the L-4a reticle. I am curious as to the thickness of the reticle posts as it will be used on a rimfire primarily for hunting grouse and rabbits.

Thanks Nutz.

Parallax is also a point of thought although I have never seen a negative effect with using a scope set with a traditional parallax . Example being the rifle is currently wearing a Swaro Z3 3-9x36 and it works quite well so far, have taken a bunch of Grouse and a couple snowshoe hare’s. Only gripe ( minor) is I wish it had a thinner reticle and lower power/ zoom. I think 1 power zoom would be perfect for the close shots and 6 is adequate for target plinking/ practice. 3 power is a bit to much for shots closer than 25 yards where most shots are taken.

I have a leica 2.5-15 with the reticle. And I love it. Glass is great for the price. Mainly used for 50-150yard shots. Can't comment on the 1-6 though. But assume it will be great for shorter distances

Probably my favorite scope for 22's are the (older) Leupold 1.5x5 or 1x4. Like the Leica, the parallax is past my most common shooting distance (20-30 yards)
- But it seems like I seldom use it past 2-3x... at 5x at those distance, the image doesn't appear as clear... but maybe it's just my eye (As I'm getting to the point where iron sight aren't as much as before)

Have a Leupold VX3 3 1-5 on my 45-70 and I think it would work well on a rimfire although a thinner reticle would be a bonus.
