LRF800 is a very well built and reliable range finder. I have one that I bought in 2002 and it does what I want it to do. The glass is exceptionally clear.

I am not so sure about Leica repair service. For what I have heard it is not good.

Before the LRF800 was replaced by the newer models with the continuous scan feature it was being sold at $400-$450 range. For a used one you can expect to pay $200-$300 depending on the condition.

I am glad that I bought a Leica as I avoided buying a cheap one and do the upgrade every 2-3 years. :D

I phoned Leica this AM to get an owner's manual.Mine is assembled in Portugal likely with Austrian lens.Picked up used in a Montana pawnshop....................thanx Harold
