I'm sure others have struggled with this so I ask here.
My plan is to use this for rifle and bow but I only really intend on doing bow on my property from a stand which I can reasonably measure distances ahead of time, practice and compute what the hold over needs to be.
Would be nice to know what I exactly need to hold over to just based on the reading though but I honestly don't see myself ranging when a deer shows up; figure I'll have this figured out ahead of time.
I'd like to be able to use a range finder out west. Doing an antelope hunt this fall. Elk some day. Don't think I'll shoot at game past 400 let alone 500 yards ever but I figure the extra distance might come in handy when finding animals to move in closer to.
Money isn't the driving issue but it is always nice to save a couple hundred.
Main issue I guess is giving up range for angle compensation below 100 yards.
Thoughts?
