I am looking for opinions of this spotting scope. There are a couple for sale on the local used market. Could use more magnification at the range than my current spotter. Currently I have a Leupold spotter 25x fixed. I have Leica binoculars so I am familiar to the brand. Anybody with experience with the Televid. I assume it is an older model as it is silver body colour.

It all depends on $$ and if it fits your need
Leica is a top tier optic company.
But if I remember correctly, the 62 and 77 were manufactured by (or in collaboration with) Meopta for Leica. (Nothing wrong with that)
- Test it first, to make sure you're OK with the field of view and eye relief of the eyepiece. As the new Leica eyepiece are not compatible with the older scope... and finding a replacement eyepiece might be a $$ endeavor.
