Im guessing they stopped making the powdered version of it in the yellow bottle with the green lid. I can't find it anywhere. I went to CT and found a liquid Leme shine. I'm assuming it's the new version.

I'll be trying it later tonight. I hope it'll work the same. I guess I'll try the same 1/4 tsp and see how it works.

Anyone else use the liquid stuff in their wet tumbler?
 
Citric Acid powder.

About $10 per KG, at the U-Brew shop, where they sell it for cleaning equipment.

Lemon flavor unsweetened KoolAid, if you are in a bind and need some small amounts of citric acid. The Lemon flavor stuff has the least offensive coloring in it. Citric Acid is the 'sour' in the drink crystals.

I have used just a small amount of powdered electric dishwasher detergent with equally good results. I use a bit of dishwashing liquid too, seems to bring more of a shine.
 
Is that all lemi shine is? Citric acid? I thought it was a water softener or something of the sorts?

I've bought it (LemiShine) at two different CT locations... $5 a can
There were dozens of 'em on the shelf

May be some detergent or such in the mix, but it is the citric acid that it is used for...

Put some in the dishwasher, and run it, to clean out the insides. A tablespoon or so.
No dishes, on the cleanout run.

Some TSP, though, to replace the phosphates they don't put into the dish soap any more, and the dishes will be as clean a s the dishwasher!

Well, what CT's are you guys finding it at? I've tried four and had no luck. Tried a rona, two home depots, even walmart. Nada
 
Lemi-Shine is basically a water softener. I found it doesn't make much difference when used with soft water. Citric Acid works much better with softened water.
 
You can get this stuff at Home Hardware.Work's just as good, I've been using both for 2-3 year's now in all temperature's of water.
