I placed a bunch of brass into a solution with Lemishine and let it sit overnight. In the morning, I found about 20% of the brass, as well as some of the nickel, casings have a pinkish discoloration. Another thread suggested it was due to leaching zinc out of the brass and that the discoloration can be corrected ... but no information how.

Would tumbling or subsequent use eliminate the discoloration? Any comments?

I've had success restoring slight brass discolouration, due to acid depletion as you describe, by tumbling it in a basic water/soap solution with SS media for a few hours. It appears that burnishing the surface helps. I do not believe that it affects the structural integrity of the case much.

To correct this, lower the acidity of the solution or expose for less time ;)
