Leofoto SA-364CL+MA-30

Ah leafoto, the weird chinese engineered camera stuff. This model looks like the ball head is straight to the tripod yoke. Adding a bowl seems redundant since you'd need an arca plate to add the bowl. Why not just arca plate the spotter?

Does your spotter not have a 1/4 or 3/8 to use an arca plate? Arca plates are 15-30$. I see them at cabellas.

I prefer the 055pro4s with bowl myself. The twist legs are a turn off since the remind me of janky work slik.

2 cents.

All new to me. I think I'd like a fluid head with a handle for other uses than shooting. I'm just wondering if I should be getting a 364 with the bowl instead?

RRS is too expensive for the limited time I have to shoot.

Apex or yoke? Same thing right?

I'm shopping for a tripod as well, so this thread has my interest. I haven't been able to put hands on one to see for myself but a few guys here had good things to say about the Innorel RT90c carbon tripod that you can buy on Amazon for $420. They make a smaller RT80c tripod for less money of the 90 is overkill.

Two vets make a nice product too. Ya that one looks like it is just made for that anvil-30 style head. If you go with just a standard tripod with the threaded post sticking up you will have more options on mounting different types of heads.

Just as an fyi but if you use it "hard" a Leofoto tripod will eventually break and there is zero warranty coverage (speaking from personal experience here). If you must get a tripod built by chicoms, at least get something with western support (like a Two Vets) so you don't get hung out to dry when it breaks. Anybody can make a tripod but supporting Leofoto by buying their blatant knockoff of the Anvil-30 head is kinda gross, imo. RRS puts so much support into precision rifle shooting, it just sucks to see some greasy commies rip off their design...

Agree 100%

I had no idea how bad of a rip off Leofoto really is. They are actually using the S.O.A.R. name in their product literature.
I admit I didn't know what SOAR stood for when I started this thread.

Going with an Anvil 30 whenever they are back in stock. $122USD shipping direct from RRS is crazy though.
I will be cheaping out on the tripod. Innerol 90 it will be.

Thanks to all that posted on this thread.

If you call RRS direct they can actually sort out cheaper shipping to Canada. Barring that you can order RRS product from B&H Photo and their shipping is reasonable.
