Leopold European -30

I had one that I recently sold - very nice glass, and a well made scope. I'm not sure where they fit in the 'Vari-X' scale, but I have a Vari-X III, and I'd rate the glass just slightly below the III.

Lots of elevation adjustment too.

I asked the same question about a month ago. The only response I got was from a guy that had one and sold it. He never cared for it. i thought the 30mm tube would be an asset but he said it made no difference over a 1" tube. Therefore, I didn't get one. if you get one let us know how you like it.

Yeah, that was me. I had the 3-9 x 50 mm c/w the 30 mm tube. I had confirmation from Leupold that the 30 mm tube had the internal parts just like the 1” tube, so no real benefit over the 1” tube. I was also told that it was rated as a VX-II from a sales person. The scope was well built but had no advantage at low light conditions. I found the scope to be bulky and a little heavy for a hunting rifle and will stick with 1” tube for now however I do have the Nikon Gold with the 30 mm tube and will not sell that one. I designated for my new muzzle loader...
