leopould vs vortex

well i must be an anomily. i tried a redfield 4x12 acurange and thought the glass was far worse than a 3200 elite. i shot it once and then sold it. i have lueps from vx1 to vx3, eletes in 3200 and 4200 and one minox. there all good although the warenty from luep seems much better than bushnell. i have had issues with the bushnell warenty, one luep i sent to korth was an oldy and i had it back repaired in two weeks. i have tested the minox warenty too. three weeks to recieve back a new in the box replacement. any of these scopes are good enough for hunting but i have to say the minox shines above most. so much i'm in the process of ordering two more. mostly i would stick with lueps over redfield and bushnell.

It would be sure great if one (me) could be at the range with these mounted scopes from the different
makers and see first hand how they compare.
I have never owned a Leupold and looking through them at the shops just doesn't make me jump for joy.
I have looked through them at gun shows and I get the same reaction.
I had my 4200 2.5-10x50 out yesterday and I ranged a side hill.
Just over 500 yards and at the low power setting, the clarity was fantastic.
I think the 3200-4200 Elite series are a great deal for the price.
Now with the rebates, even better.
Yes, some have had warranty issues on the time frame, but I have had
decent service by Bushnell. I have a couple three back up rifles I can use
if and when optics become an issue.
The cost of the 6500's would have me buying other makers than Bushell,
I can attest to that.
Sum pennies..........

Hey I have the vortex RzR 5x20 and its unreal I use it on my lapua and am grouping lapua loads 4"at 1000m amazin optics 35mm tube for long distance MOA adjustments witch will probably benefit on the smaller caliber rifle

I have Bushnells for many years and have been very satisfied-no problems. I purchased a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 about 2 years ago and think it is a great scope. Very clear and sharp image. Holds consistently, never need to re-adjust. I have the Dead Hold reticle and think its one of the best designs. The Vortex lifetime warranty is hard to beat. No questions asked, regardless how you came to own the scope/ their product, no warranty papers to fill out.
I recently stumbled upon an interesting youtube video where 2 models of Vortex scopes are put through a 3 part torture test. Step 1, scopes are completely immersed in water for 24 hours. Step 2, scopes are then placed in a freezer for 24 hours. Step 3, scopes are mounted on a 300 mag rifle centered and test fired and re-checked to ensure the hold their calibration and function flawlessly. Very impressive in my mind.
check it out, just search youtube with this subject line: Vortex Optics Independent Riflescope Test - Part 1 (there are 2 parts of this video)
