Less computin"... more good shootin"... 800 metres...

I'm useing reloader 22. Getting 2980fps. A little fouling but shoots great out of a fouled bore. :D

Were going to make caramilk feel bad about shooting the little 308.

Dont worry the 308 is my favorite caliber but i have to accept it's limitations...JP :)

What velocities are you getting?

I tried these a couple of weeks ago, Mvel 3100 fps, 1:10 twist, they left lots of copper in my bbl and did not group well at all. I am not sure if I just got a bad batch, or if this is just too fast. I used other .308 bullets (210gn) and had no problems with copper deposition.

I do not mean to hijack this post, but I want to add some details to my first post.

I am shooting a match bbl, using a wildcat .30 cal case and N560. I fired about 100 of the Matrix Ballistics .308 210 gn bullets and had no issues with copper. I am working up a load for competition and given all the posts about the Amax 208's I decided I needed to try them. Not sure if 3100 fps in my bbl is just too fast, or if I picked up a bad lot of these bullets. I have shot lots of Hornady bullets and never had copper fouling in my match bbls. At this point I will return to the Matrix ballistics bullets and use the Hornady bulelts in my standard .308 Win.
