Here in western Manitoba the almost total lack of bear hunting the last two springs, but more importantly the lack of bear baiting for said hunting has thrown the black bear population into, once again uncharacteristic behaviour. Very little hunting pressure, a bumper berry crop and a mild winter has contributed to more bears, making this a perfect storm for human bear interactions. I’ve made somewhat successful less lethal hazing rounds in the past, successful in that they didn’t kill and bears but not the most accurate. I decided to get some .68 riot balls meant for paintball guns and load a less lethal Dixie triball style load, but there is almost no good info floating around about loads. I was planning on loading in score 3” hulls with a power piston, and three balls in a tyvec wrap, maybe with an overshot to ease crimp. I have Red dot and tire wad. Anybody got any ideas? I could load for weight but experience tells me that that isn’t fast enough.
