Lest we forget

And those young canadians held the line .........that says it all.

Here is my Canadian contract 1911 that was at Ypres.

It belonged to a Canadian officer Lt. William Forrest Cooke, he left his civilian job as head of a lumber company to serve in WWI, his second war. He had previously served as a Corporal in the Boer War. By the end of WWI, he had been promoted Lt-Colonel and was awarded the DSO and twice mentioned in dispatches. He was wounded twice.

Just one of many great Canadians we remember.
