Hope it doesn't happen, but I went through it after rebarreling my AR-50....gunsmith took it back and polished it out...problem solved. But ya, that looks pretty deep....
 
email and pics sent on the 17 th. The groves are deep. I work on small arms for a living and some bigger stuff 25 mm, 105 mm and 155mm. Im shocked this made it past quality control. Im pretty disappointed in this upper, the alberta tatical rifle lower is spot on though. the barrels are junk in the uppers, no crown on the muzzle, rough chamber, the only thing good was the head space.
 
Those are not threads. those are deep rings in the chamber. The guys at canadammo .com said they are willing to replace the barrel even though i voided the warranty by having it modifyed by alberta tatical rifle to a nr lower. this will be the last purchase i make with canadaammo.com



I have been working with weapons for 18 years and have never seen such piss poor quality control in my life.

Never buy a Norinco expecting any quality control. After my t97 barrel drooped due to heat i decided i will never buy another nor sold it for parts and the m14s are going next.

So CanadaAmmo sent you a defective barrel, and even after you voided the warranty they agreed to send a replacement, and that's why you don't want to deal with them ever again?

Seems to me the worst thing you could accuse them of is a failure to inspect before shipping.

They're making it right. Where's your beef?

As you said yourself that they are replacing the barrel when they really don't have too, why would you say that this is it for canam? They missed it, you fired it , so you couldn't have been sure either... give them a break, they are helping you out.

The fact it made it past any sort of quality control at all shows me that they seem not to care what makes it out the door. I work with 6500 guys who spent their money on guns, women and trucks, what would it take for me to send an email telling they guys what sort of junk canada ammo sells? The best advertising is word of mouth and i love to talk. IF they make this right i will speak of their feats of customer service and how they went above and beyond, if not i send an email to 6500 hundred guys telling of the failure of quality control at canada ammo and maybe the guys should spend their money somewhere else. We will let the money do the talking.
