I have just purchased a Sako 75 in 7mm STW, 26" Barrel, will be topped with a Leupold VX3L 4.5-14X50 CDS Scope, mounting in optilocks.
No idea, where I will ever take advantage of the long range capabilities of this caliber in my area of Ontario. Regardless it will be a fun caliber to play with.

I am interested in any different loads. Right now I have Barnes TTSX 150gr, and Berger 168gr VLD's. Nosler Custom brass, and several powders to try.
Looking for hunting loads, white-tails, moose, bear will be on the possible target list.
Just interested to see what different loaders are using as their favorites and what kind of velocities they are getting.

I am shooting Barnes TTSX 140 gr over H1000 and Federal 215M primer
3450 ft/sec from custom gun and 3320 from Sako 75 SS.
H 1000 shoots 82, 83, and 84 gr to almost the same POI in my Custom rifle.
3" high at 100 4" high at 200 325 dead on -5.7 at 400 and still 2100ft/lb energy.

Shot moose at over 500 y with it.

I loaded 160 gr MRX at 3300 ft/sec from Custom with H870 powder.

I am shooting Hornady SST 140 for plinking and Barnes 140 TTSX for hunting.

I have used the same load in all three of my 7mmstw rifles, a premium 140gr bullet, ahead of IMR 7828. I have taken, elk ,moose, deer, pronghorn and bighorn with my 7mmstw rifles.

I use 81.5 gr of RL-22 with a 139 gr Hornady sst or the interlock BTSP. Very accurate, I have also tried a 120 gr Hornday. Almost any load or bullet seems to shoot well in my STW.
