Thought it would be interesting to see some rare markings/codes on milsurps around here (Mauser, LE, Mosin, ect).
I'll start it off with my ironic dou 41.

1919 "big hammer" Tula M1891 - probably my rarest milsurp

Admittedly not too rare overall, but I honestly haven't seen too many other Albions around.
 
Here's a head scratcher from my M44. As far as I know, nobody anywhere has been able to identify it. It looks like HEC4 inside a diamond. There have been a small handful of reports about rifles with the stamp, but no answer about its meaning...

The stock is non-refurbed all-original.
