Lets see some real nice groups shot bye members and friends post them here

Groups should be measured from the point you are aiming at, to the center of the hole furthest away from that point, IMHO.

The way youse guys are doing it, one could have a quarter inch group, but miss what you're aiming at. And that wouldn't put a partridge in the pot.

I respect your opinion. We're not putting meat in a pot. We are testing the potential of rifles and shooters at long ranges. Totally different game. And if ya noticed, we hit the target.

When groups have a large number of shots, if the POI and POA are the same, the aimpoint can be obliterated before the group is complete.

I just like to know that the bullet is going to go where it's aimed at. That's how I sight mine in. Even if it takes a few more shots.

Here, you’ll see I gave Mr. Smiley a nose…..

I then went back to my shooting position and backed up the first shot. Three shot group at a mile .338LM

This thread is for groups , not for score , or for zeroing a hunting rifle, different applications:cool:

I think it’s safe to say that the shooters scoring good groups are likely also the ones that can land a bullet pretty close to where they choose.

This is my best 50Y rimfire group. 5 shots and was done with CCI SV. Ya ya I know total fluke.

My 6BR is my most accurate, the picture with 4 different 3 shot groups was during load development with the Magnetospeed fitted, that gun shoots so good that it was hard to pick a load (gun isnt fussy at all):

I shoot 5 shot groups for any Target/Varmint chambering.
However, I am happy with 3 shot groups in a hunting rifle
since I cannot remember the last time I took 3 shots at any
big game animal. A couple of "hunting" rifle groups below.Dave.

Yes, some very nice groups here.
I want to post one that's a bit different, not as small as most but still rather proud of it.
38-55 Winchester Single Shot. Shop built iron sights (aperture), shop built barrel (drilled, reamed & rifled myself), cast lead bullets from a mold I made myself.
Slight left to right breeze today too!

Very impressive cuslog!
This is from my most recent range trip. 22-250 improved with 75gr eldm. I typically do 5 shot groups with this rifle but this is still during load development and I am conserving components.

It's also just 100 m.
