Hey Guys,
Got drawn for a tag after waiting for 9 years on my Antlered Elk draw. Starting to get primed up about big bulls and really hoping I can find one that makes my jaw drop this year.
Wanted to see what kind of bulls the members here have killed in the past....if ya know the score post it up and if not just feel free to post the pics with a quick story about the hunt if you'd like.....
Biggest bull I've killed is around 240ish.....not very big but hopin that all the years of waiting will reward me this year......

Lets see em guys!!! All pics welcome!!! Camp pics and packing pics included.....

A broken tine brought this bull down to 328 B&C.It was early rut,and he had a single cow with him.We traded bugles, and I was able to get above him to take the shot.

I hear you about excitement Rack....I'm counting the days to Arizona. Here's my 2007 and 2006 Alberta bulls. Both netted around 300. I think last year's was 320ish gross. Damn short main beams! I've got another one that's a clone of these two as well. Had lunch with Duk today....lots of good elk tags floating around this year. Hopefully my Arizona bull comes in about 40-60 inches bigger than these two........good luck with your hunt.

Ya, I definitely want to pick your brain a bit before November that's for sure. Guessing we'll get down for the second or third season.

Ah the backpack pic......that definitely was a long day! Glad Vanessa let me wear her pack long enough to have this picture taken! :D

"A few more cow calls and the bugle screams again from just inside the timber. Seconds later he steps out 120 yards away and I raise my binocs and note his right antler is a 5 point, but his left antler has a 6th tine! woo hoo! I turn to my parnter and whisper "who's gonna shoot him?" he says "#### I dont know!...you shoot him you havent gotten an elk before!"

I wasnt going to argue him - I watched the bull work his way towards us slowly. The wind is perfect, in our face and he is on a string heading for me. He turned straight on facing me at 98 yards, and I settled the crosshairs of my 30-06 on his chest. He stopped, lowered his head, and opened his mouth getting ready to bugle when I sent a 165 grain Accubond on its way.

The bull was rocked and on his side before I regained the sight picture. Sticks and dirt was flying 15 feet in the air as he kicked and kicked. I stayed on him for a few seconds making sure he didnt get up, then quickly got off the slash pile and got over to the bull. He was all messed up but trying to get to his feet, so my partner let fly from 20 feet into his neck and all was done."

591 lbs (4 skinned quarters with no legs).

here's mine, a really big ol' cow I shot last year. she wasn't weighed, but the carcass was at least as big as any of several bulls I've shot

Oh, I suppose you were actually talking about antlers! I don't pay much attention to them, usually just saw them off and use them for knife handles and such, don't need more bone hanging on my wall.

Wow, that thing is a monster longwalker....some of those cows get huge. My buddy Cam shot a dinosaur two years ago that was easily as big as my bull.
