Does anybody have a dedicated hunting camper or modified trailer or even school bus? I've been contemplating building one lately. I have an old 17' camper that I have gutted and I was planning on cutting it in half and building 2 permanent whitetail blinds and using the frame to build a 2 place sled/quad trailer. Lately, however, I have had asperations to try to salvage it and make it a portable hunt camp for elk and moose trips up north and even mule and antelope trips down south.
I have plans in my head of a camper with one section at the front that would be insulated and fitted with an old window air conditioner and a coolbot unit to use as cold storage for succesful hunts and somehow convert that section to be able to open one side and drive my atv in it. The rear area would then be a tight space with fold down bunks that the lowers would be benches with a table in between and in the middle of the trailer would be the kitchen area complete with furnace/cooktop and fridge. I would love to see pics of any other setups that would be similar to this. I may be better off to start with a enclosed cargo trailer but of course I would prefer to do this as cheap as possible.
