I think its time we had the talk. Lubrication. Its critical in resizing your brass and I've found something spectacular!!!

I tried the classic Imperial Sizing wax, and it works well but its messy and awkward and time consuming if your doing thousands of rounds or even hundreds.

I've also used spray lubes with limited success. The Lyman lube seem to perform the best for me but I will admit that I got a few cases stuck using it.

Enter the homemade lube, the best lube ever! It was recommended by numberous shooters I know, so I decided to whip up a batch and it has not disappointed! Flcass guys and PRS and NRL guys told me about it and I watched some youtube videos on how to make it. Havent got a case stuck yet and they slide in an out of the press so easy that I have no fatigue after resizing several hundred. Total WIN.

You just need 99% Isoproply Alcohol and Lanolin. Mix it at a ratio of about 10/1 in a spray bottle and your off to the races. You let the alcohol evaporate then size. easy peasy. Make sure its evaporated or you can get vapor lock in your die.

Here is a great Youtube video by Ultimate Reloader for the doubting Thomas types who need to see it in action. If your not doing it this way this video will change your life!

Lots of guys use the lanolin solutions, thats what Lee lube is and at least at one time they recommended lanolin as a substitute. Hornady paste lube is mink oil.
The best I ever used is Imperial Bio-green though. Cases come out of the die like it was spitting them out. I suspect but don’t know that there’s castor oil involved😂

Ive reloaded thousands of 223 using alcohol/lanolin, if i were to ever get back into reloadong thats the only case lube I'd consider, way too easy

Does it contaminate powder and or primers? They say that the Hornady spray lube and the Lee lube don’t….
