Lets Talk Lubrication

Depends what you call very low volume...I still do a few thousand rounds a year.

Back when AR's and hand guns were still fun I did a lot more and all were done on that old lube pad....I split my own wood too...HA.

Everyone has different needs and what they want to accomplish with the the time they have. Today I processed 4500 pieces of brass. I used washed brass and then lubed (with lanolin/alcohol) spray, then decapped, swaged, primed and and sized the brass. Then I tumbled in walnut/paint thinner to get the lube off. Rolling brass on a pad to lube wouldn't be very practical for this volume.

To use lanolin lube I often have used a 24 beer flat box or also a similar size plastic container. it's not messy. I've lubed thousands of cases on pads with RCBS lube but these days if its volume- lanolin. If it's small batches it's Imperial wax.
