Hello.

Can anyone that owns one of these tell me if it's a pretty good scope?

I'm thinking of throwing one on my Mini Thirty in a couple weeks and id like some impressions.

Not a lot of reviews online.

The one I'm looking at is 12.10 inches long.

The one your recommend is 11.30 inches long.

I'm okay with the scope being less than an inch longer, but I do appreciate the suggestion.

I'm more concerned with quality as esthetics are a whole different debate :)
 
The quality of optic is more than enough for your purposes however as noted the magnification and objective size are in my opinion probably more than you need. Phil.

I am mostly at the range for shooting. Ideally I'd like a four power scope in a 40-42mm in the color silver.

At this point I'm thinking run it at 4 power. Use the 12 when I need to spot shots and I'm good to go.

Silver scopes that can take the jarring of the mini thirty are not cheap or plentiful.

Two birds. One stone and I want it to match my .30-06 for being "used" to the scope on a constant basis. So I'm buying two.

Overkill? Yep
