Leupold freedom 6-18x40

Bought one last spring, 30mm tube, Tri-MOA reticle, CDS dial. For the $$$ it is an excellent scope, glass is better than it has any right to be at that price. Adjustments are good, tracks perfectly. Sent the required info to Korth and they laser cut an elevation dial free of charge. I have used a lot of scopes over the years and feel that this scope would be very hard to beat in it`s price range. Vortex, Nikon, Burris, etc. do not even come close. Would recommend it and would definitely buy another one myself. Just my opinion and experience, flame away.

I have something similar, the Mark 2 AR 6-18X40. Great scope. I have it mounted on a heavy barrel 223. Tracking is great and typical Leupold quality. Although I have not compared the details in the fine print, after mounting several Freedom scopes for buddies and getting in some range time with them, I would bet that the actual glass quality in the Freedom line surpasses any of the previous VXII, VX2, or Mark 2 lines. One in particular was the Freedom 2-7X33. The clarity was phenomenal.

I agree. I have a couple of VX-3 6.5-20x40s and to my eyes, the VX-Freedom 6-18x40 glass appears to be just as good.

I had a freedom...not this model though.
The glass was very good.....the adjustment "clicks" were "mushy" far from crisp , a bit difficult to feel. Mine was for rimfire, moving often from 50 yards to 75 yards and 100 yards, so using elevation adjustments frequently. I no longer have that scope.
