I have a 6.5X20X50 Leupold long range VX3 with a fine target dot reticle mounted on My Sako Varmint laminate in 222. I love it for shooting paper and gophers but was wondering if anyone has tried to use the target dot in real hunting situations. I know if I had time to line the dot up on a standing coyote it would work just fine but would you be able to focus on it quick enough on a moving coyote or would you lose it in the fur. Looking for a new scope for a new 204 that is coming this winter and am trying to decide between a 4.5X14X50 Leupold or a similar model Zeiss with a Z plex.
