Has anyone purchased one of these scopes. Looking at the 3- 18 by 50 with the TMR reticle but a lot of money. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on them.
Thanks

I have the 1X6, with the 308 reticle. The glass is as good as an S&B IMO, the price for "me" is a bit on the high side. I feel that the glass and light transmission is as good on my Bushnell ERS, These are "marketed" to the LE & MIL with "deep pockets" that said Leupold quality is very good along with the warranty if you need it. The scope itself is very compact & light if that's something you're looking for? or want. This is a "buy once cry once" kinda item, as far as I"m concerned. Cheers

I really like the compact size and mag range of the Mark 6 but the pinch style locking turrets straight up suck. They are mushy and the pinch tabs never seem to be in the correct alignment to operate quickly under stress.
I think they have a new turret in the works (perhsps already available) which would greatly improve this optic.
Price point was really good in the US with many retailers selling for significantly below msrp. Here in Canada the scope is overpriced IMO but then what isnt.

The 1X6 has a different "pinch" style turret which is more positive, but I agree. the 3X18 is mushy and you don't get that immediate feedback when you're adjusting the turrets. Price, yes definitely on the high side, I think what it really comes down too is the type of shooting you are doing, if you are staying under 300yrs, the Mark 6 is too much scope for the cost IMO.

Thanks guy's you have mentioned the good points and the not so good. Compact and light being the good and the pinch turrets are a concern. It would be for long range shooting so the good glass would be asset. Price is as stated to high but. I hear the mark 4 will be a thing of the past. What would be a good comparable scope to the mark 6?

Well I have 2 Bushnell ERS's, I'm very pleased with the glass and the quality. I'm a MIL/MIL/FFP guy so that worked out well with 10 MILS of revolution per turn. That will take me out to 1000 with either calibers, .223 or .308. I guess at some point it comes down to your budget? I don't really have any "negatives" with the Bushnell so far.

That said, I wouldn't hesitate to get a Mark 4 if the "price is right" and it meets your needs.

BTW the Leupold distributor is "blowing them out" so now might be a good time to buy?
