Anyone have any experience with this scope. I am thinking of buying one for my .223 semi auto's, it will be moved from one to the next during load development then probably left on my HK SL8-4 once I'm satisfied with my loads.
I know they are new so may not be many out there yet but it sounds like a good scope for the money.

Any first hand experience?

Thanks

I have both the 1.5x4 and the 3x9 mod 1 with the firedot reticule. What I like about these scopes are the weight and the fact that they are available with a green firedot reticule which has a motion sensor to turn it on and off, also they are very good value for the money. I especially like the motion sensor since I have had problems in the past with scopes that have a manually operated re-stat to turn on the reticule illumination. These two scopes are the only one inch scopes in the Leupold range other than the Leupold Ultimate slam that are available with illuminated reticules. The Mod 1 scopes seem to be optically the same as the VX2 range scopes and I found the 1.5x4 was as good as the Vortex 1x4 PST in low light conditions and much better than the Millett 1x4 DMS, also because of the firedot it is possible to use it with both eyes open at the lowest setting, were as without the firedot it is more difficult to focus. I currently have the 3x9 mod 1 mounted on a Sako Blackbear in 308.
