I was checking out scopes suitable for an AR15. I may be a getting a little ahead of myself considering I don't have an AR15 yet but I am doing the research before I go out and buy something I might regret later. I have been searching the suppliers listed here but can't seem to find anyone that carries this scope. I have seen this scope listed on US sites but they can't export them. Does anyone know if this scope is currently available in Canada and, if so, how much? Also, what do you think of this scope?

Here is the scope I am talking about (click on "Mark 4 CQ/T riflescope"):

Sorry not for sale to civillians outside of the US only Government and Law Enforcement Agenies it is described by the US State Dept as SME[Specialized Military Equipment]

Some used models came available from a law enforcement buy back...and all sold quite quickly. Not the best military style scope made but works as advertized and the prices in Canada stay high because to limited availablity. Phil.

If you want to stick with Leupold, have a look at their Mk4 MR/T in 1.5-5X20. It'll do anything that the CQ/T does.

Yep, the biggest difference is the reticle, but but my friends MRT 2.5-8 is an awesome scope.

You can still use tje 1.5-5 for stuff you'd use the CQT for, but you get a scope thats much more proven :D

The advantage of CQT is that at 1x you can shoot pistol style with both eyes open. Very convenient for combat situations, but absolutely useless for plinking. For the price tag, this is not a plinking scope.

I saw the CQ/T in P&D mounted on an 'employee display' setup...looked pretty nice.

I'm finding it very hard to choose an optic for my short AR, mostly due to the fact that the ones I want are not in stock and/or unavailable.
