does anyone have one? Im preaty set on the mark4 6.5-20x50 but how does it compair to other high end optics?. Are they Bright? I havnt had the chance to look through the leupold yet it seem like ill have to order it in. The scope will be going ona tikka tactical, also are teh mark 4 rings any good, or for the sma eprice should i just get some badger ordinance rings?

The 10x M3 I used a few times was very bright and clear. It had genrous eye relief, and little problems with parallax. They are very nice scopes, and I am buying one for my Precision Rifle (in time).
From what I hear Mk4 rings are very good; just under Nightforce and Badger Ordinance. I think Badger is probably the best on the market, but they are quite expensive.

As far as rings go..save yourself some money and buy TPS rings available in steel, aluminum, stainless and soon Ti (if plans haven't changed).

Many people like the Leupolds. I prefer the Nightforce line.

This Sendero has the scope you are talking about and I love it. I actually only bought it bcause I got a smokin deal on it here on Gunnutz but the scope is right on par with the 2 Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 that I have. The clarity is great they are plenty bright enough in terms of light transmision and weigh almost a pound less than the Nightforce. The only 2 other scopes I would consider are the Schmidt and Bender or the US Optics and they are crazy amounts of money. It has the side parallax adjustment which is nice and the target turrets are crisp in adjustment and repeatable.

The scope gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

If you don't want to pay more than $1000 on a scope, get a Mk4 or a Nightforce. If you want to take out a second mortgage on your house and sell your car, get a US Optics or a Swarovski.

I've got three mk4 scopes.... I like them :D
Same here.

I am running three Mark IVs.

1) 3.5 - 10 X 40 M1/LR with Illuminated MilDot reticle (ARMS#22 rings)

2) 3.5 - 10 X 40 M1/LR with Duplex reticle (TPS Steel rings)

3) 16X M1 with luminous MilDot reticle (Badger Max -50 rings)

For my eyes, the Mark IV line has been an excellent preformer.

The only other scope I would think about buying would be from U.S. Optics.

One of the really sweat things about the mk4 scopes is that there is enought diopoter adjustment for me to shoot them without my glasses if I need to like when it is raining etc...

Hey Rohan,

Where do you get a MK 4 or a Nightforce for under $1000? Mabey you meant $2000;)
I picked up the 3.5 - 10 X 40 M1/LR with Duplex reticle Mark IV I have for just under $1000.00 from another board member.

It was new in the box!!!!:D

There are great deals out there. You just have to watch for them, and be ready to jump on them with hesitation.

If you snooze, you lose!!!!

Wait a sec, this doesn't make sense. At wholesale, they sell a Mk4 LR/T 6.5-20x50 M1 MilLIRADIAN-Dot for $1389, but they sell a fixed Mk4 M1 10x40 for $1869. How does that work?

The 10X40 is more "tactical" than the MK4 LR/T that's how

The fixed power scopes are true mil spec with heavier duty internal parts

The external walls are apparently also thicker on the fixed power scopes. I had a 3.5-10x40 LRM3 mildot (before they started calling their entire LE/Mil line "Mark 4) which I've long since sold. Now the only Leupold I have is a "custom" (Premier Reticles Gen2 mildot) Mark 4 M1 10x40. This scope is definately bigger, fatter, and heavier than the variable that I sold, but the glass is equally excellent on both. IMHO, you can't go wrong with a Leupy...

Down the road when I finally get the money for my Rem700P, I'm going to buy a Leup Mk4 for it, and I'm thinking the M1 3.5x-10x. The fixed scopes aren't as versatile, though I am putting a 6x42 on my Nagant.
