Leupold Prices Looking Better ???

I was on Le Barons website today and was surprised to see that their prices on Leupold scopes have gone down noticably this year. For example a Matte VX3 3.5-10x40 that listed in their catalog for $699.94 last year lists for $598.63 this year. I wonder if this is a Le Baron price change or if it is new Canadian pricing from Leupold? Any other dealers lowering prices?

They have to do something, there is a lot of competition that is equal in quality and much less expensive.

+1 with Timoffee. When you don't have a lock on quality you better get competitive on pricing.

I have a few VX2 scopes and tried my new Sightron the other day and although the VX3 would probably be a better comparison, my next scope will probably be another Sightron.

When you have an monoploly things never get cheaper or better. Ever since they announced that they will only have 1 company sell and do warrenty work for Canada and that any scope not baught from them will no longer be warrentied I avoid them like NcStar!
P.S. I reflects the stronger Canadian Dollar.

Until Leupold prices in Canada are the same as American prices, they can GTH. Like Satain says, it's the distributor monopoly that's the problem.
