Leupold retires the VX3i line of scopes

I have an older VX3 and a newer VX3i and I have hunting partners who have had the VX3 for ages; none of us have had issues and nothing but positive opinions in our cases.
I don’t know about the current pricing comments but at a glance I don’t see the problem, they were never priced cheap, nor over the top, so it looks about moot to me.
I always thought they were kind of targeted to a guy who needed enough quality to buy it once, not expect issues with it in their lifetime and cost enough to know you spent some money but not enough where other family needs have to sacrifice.
And they nailed it, both are absolutely excellent scopes and I look forward to what the HD wIll bring to the table if I ever need another one.
