Hey guys, looking for some input on this scope. I've never owned a Leupold, but have heard favorable things about this model...figure it might be a nice way to get familiar with the brand. None of my local dealers carry this model (or seem to be aware of it...?) so I thought I'd ask here before I make a move on it. This is the exact scope..probably the matte one;

One more question~if memory serves, I've read that the parallax is set for 60 yards with this scope...and not having an adjustable objective, am I likely to have any parallax weirdness at closer distances? The gun is mostly used for casual target shooting at 50-75 yards off a rest, but some carry/close grouse shots too.

Thanks so much for taking a moment to reply.

they are great scopes for a lightweight rimfire. i have had no issues with mine at close range. works well on paper and as a grouse getter.

Wander over to "4Scopes" site and search through their listings.
They don't think too highly of these lower end Loopypulls and
they give good reference to other better scopes for the approximate
value.
I am on this quest as well.
Cheers.

The Leupold rimfire is quite compact with the appropriate short eye relief meant for shorter LOP 22's. I have one on my 10/22 and I love it. The crosshairs are quite fine and would be the only thing I would change. Other than that, they are great and best suited for 22's in my opinion.
