My Vz 58 just got a little better today. Picked up a Leupold 1.5-5x20mm AR223 scope. Sweet rig. The scope now sits low enough where I get all of my chin and a little bit of me cheek on the stock. Almost don't even need a cheek riser although an extra 1/4" would be nice. The last scope, I barely got a tip of my chin on the stock. Best of all the scope is calibrated for .55gr .223. All I want now for my Vz 58 is one of those bipods that mount to the bayonet lug. Also picked up 2 extra magazines today.

Got the rifle out today. Once I figured out the scope and that it wasn't clamped down, lol I was getting 2.00" - 2.25" at 100 meters with American Eagle .55gr BTFMJ. Pretty darn good for a 5.56 Vz 58. Before with iron sights I was getting 3.00" - 3.50" I started reloading a year ago and I might pick up some .223 dies and reload the spent brass to try and see if I can make a balls on consistent hand load that can do better.

First time using a mil dot scope and at 200 meters, the next dot was right on target at 200 meters. Can't try and further since this range only goes to 200 meters.
