Just wondering, I know that Leupold has different sunshades for their old Vari-X line and the new VX & MK 4 lines, but has there been any reduction in the size of the tubes?
I've got a buddy who just bought a new VX-II varmint scope and he also ordered a sunshade for it at the same time. The sunshade is of a small diameter than the edge of the scope's bell, giving the whole set up a rather odd-looking stepped appearance?
I'm wondering if he got the correct sunshade or is something else screwy going on. The scope is the 6X-18X VX-II with adjustable objective.
