Leupold SX2 - SX4 Spotting scope

Yep - They're good, nothing to complain about. They're clearly from the same OEM as the 2 comparable vortex spotters. They're not world beating and there will always be better but they're pretty good for the price. No complaints.

I have also had good luck with the Leupold spotter that was sold exclusively at Cabelas. I picked it up when it was on clearance blowout (discontinued) thinking it would be pretty bad for the $250 I paid for it but it's actually fine. I can see bullet holes out to 400m when on a good manfroto tripod and making sure not to make phyiscal contact with the eye piece. For range use, just dandy.

For field use (hunting), I would suggest that a compact 15-40 would be better in most cases. In hunting, some people spot through a truck window with a little mount, some people are climbing mountains. In that case, you want small and light.

I bought a New Bushnell Forge 20-60 x 80 with the angled eyepiece - anyone got this model ? If so how you like it ? RJ

i have the tactical angled 15-45x60 with mildot and the elite straight 15-45x60 and they re really good for what im doing. no they re not leica or other top notch brand but for my kind of hunt and shooting they re really great.

pretty sure yours will be even clearer.
