So i got a choice to purchase either a leupold vx ii 3-9x40 or a zeiss terra 3-9x42 scopes both similar in value i want to choose one based on peoples opinons in using either of the 2 . My main purpose for this scope is in very low light conditions . As the rifle im putting this on is a predator gun most of my hunting situations, the shot most likely take place in either at dusk or dawn shooting situation. Any ones opinons on either of the 2 models as i know how the leupold vx ii model looks in low light as I like it but I have never looked though a ziess terra though this situation ..Seeing if the ziess would have a edge as both models are in the same price .My hunting for predators takes place in winter over a bait most likely my shot will take place either at low light seeing if theres any edge in either of the two models, leupold has the duplex recticle and the ziess has the "z plex" by the way my shot will not be over 200 yards most likely at 160 yards as that is how far i sit from the bait, that is placed for coyotes or wolves.

I have both. The ziess is on my 25/06 and its great out to 400 yards. you cant go wrong with either.

Zeiss has terribly warranty....been there on a Conquest model I owned. Leupold on the other hand has excellent warranty and quick turn around if you ever need it plus you can have the option of changing reticles and getting custom made dials.
